If you are an NDIS participant and have been approved for funding for therapeutic support, you may be able to receive myotherapy treatments under your NDIS plan. Myotherapy may be included as part of your plan if it is deemed to be a reasonable and necessary support that will help you achieve your goals and improve your overall health and well-being.
To receive myotherapy treatments under your NDIS plan, you will need to work with your NDIS planner or support coordinator to identify the specific goals you want to achieve through therapy and determine the appropriate level of funding required. You will also need to find a qualified myotherapist who is registered to provide services to NDIS participants and who can provide evidence-based treatment that aligns with your NDIS plan goals.
It is important to note that the NDIS does not cover all myotherapy services or providers, and funding for myotherapy may be subject to certain restrictions and limitations. Therefore, it is recommended that you consult with your NDIS planner or support coordinator to determine whether myotherapy is an appropriate and feasible option for you under your NDIS plan.

To access Myotherapy treatments under a WorkCover claim, individuals typically need a referral from their general practitioner (GP) and acceptance from their workers' compensation insurer. This process ensures that the treatment is medically necessary and covered by the insurance policy. The GP's referral serves as a professional recommendation, indicating that Myotherapy is an appropriate course of action to address work-related injuries. The insurer's acceptance is crucial for the financial aspect of the claim, as it confirms that the treatment costs will be covered under the workers' compensation policy. This collaborative approach between medical professionals, insurers, and the injured party helps ensure that necessary care and rehabilitation services are accessible for those recovering from workplace injuries.

As WorkCover insurers do not cover the entire consultation fee, a gap fee will be charged to you in accordance with the clinic’s full private fees. Clients have the option to either pay the gap fee at the time of service or opt for Upside to claim and cover the gap on their behalf.
