Recipe: Mixed Berry & Banana Smoothie Bowl

A quick an easy breakfast option for those hot summer mornings or even a perfect mid afternoon snack. We also have frozen bananas in our fridge at home. They are the perfect addition to any smoothie as a thickener with some natural sweetness.

Ingredients:

  • 2 frozen bananas

  • 1 cup of frozen mixed berries

  • 1 cup of milk of your choice (my preference is oat)

  • 100g of granola

  • Fresh blueberries, strawberries and/or banana

  • Flaked coconut

  • Sprinkle of chia seeds

Method:

  • Step 1

    • In a blender, combine frozen bananas, mixed berries and milk until thick and well blended.

  • Step 2

    • Thinly slice fresh banana and/or strawberries.

  • Step 3

    • Divide the smoothie mixture evenly between 2 bowls. Arrange your fresh fruit, granola, coconut flakes and chia seeds in even rows on top of your smoothie.
